Correspondence with Senator Diane Feinstein, re: TPP

Form-letter reply from Feinstein about objections to TPP

Senator Feinstein;

If the TPP is so beneficial, then tell me this: why are its contents a closely guarded secret?  If it’s so good for the country and the state, why don’t they make it public?  Let us read it for ourselves, get some dialog going about its specifics – sounds transparent and healthy and democratic to me!  How about you?

From what has been leaked about it, it’s clear why it’s being kept a secret: it signs-over our sovereignty to a corporate tribunal.  As if our current democracy circus isn’t enough of a joke already, the TPP will render it entirely moot.

I wish I were naïve enough to believe a few words of logic would give you a boost of ethics and integrity, enough to sway your support for this heinous, destructive treaty.  Sadly I’ve seen your voting record, you are as corrupt as they come, you don’t give a damn about your constituents.  You’ve sold us out so many times, what’s one more?

I will most definitely not be voting for you, when the ballot box circus comes to town.  I’ve now wasted enough typing… but please spare me the BS narrative, it makes me want to puke.

Have a good day.

Mark McGinty
