Basically Europeans have sacrificed the relative peace they used to enjoy, for the petro-dollar.
Hey European countries, was it worth all the military money you spent bombing the middle east? You created civil wars and terrorist factions, and forced them to migrate all that mayhem right onto your homeland soil. You turn them into refugees and make them hate you by bombing their homes. You make your people hate refugees by forcing them into your midst — and it’s working like a charm! The hatred and stupidity are escalating Nicely done, I’m sure it will play out well.
Now Europeans get to fight a war on their home soil, as a direct result of wars they’ve waged on the USA’s behest, for the primary purpose of burning down anything that might compete against the petrol-dollar, squashing any challenges before they hit the ground. Unstable governments can’t setup world currencies, so as long as war is on-going the petrol-dollar is safe.
Think the USA will take any of the refugee pressure on it’s homeland soil? Think again, the distance from here to there makes it a whole lot more complicated than stuffing 150 of them on a 25 man inflatable, and ploughing across the Med, they need a lot more vessel to cross the Atlantic. With Europe so close, it’ll never happen. USA people don’t need something in their faces to hate it, they’ve seen quite enough across the pond, thank you, good luck!
So I guess Europe must perceive a vested interest in US hegemony. We have used global reserve currency status to bilk the rest of the world for unfathomable sums, when that status is lost, our money will be worth shit to the rest of the world. I guess they figure that if it falls, the dollar will take the Euro with it on the way down.
